The aim for this kit was to present a collection of must-haves for the office desk – designed so that corporate clients can see how their own branding might work with our merch. We’ve included menu faves like the Rocket Pen and Twiggy Taco, as well as new items from our Australian-made Sustainable Stationery range, like the Lisha Notebook and Matilda A3 Planner.
What are merch kits and why do we make them?
Onboarding Kit-Twice a year we design a collection of themed merchandise to showcase our latest and most popular products. The kits take around five months to create, from initial concept to fulfilment. Yes, it takes a whooole lot of work, but our design team jumps at the opportunity to flex their skills and go wild designing something for our own brand! We then package the kits up in our office and send them out to our top customers and potential clients we’d l-o-v-e to work with.
What is the theme this year?
While last year we really leaned into the warm and fuzzy, wintery feel with our Sound of Music theme, this year we wanted to achieve an edgier, more minimalistic aesthetic.
The theme for this year is Halftone.
Halftone refers to a 20th-century printing technique where patterns of dots were used to create an image. It’s also a popular technique used in artwork, like Roy Lichtenstein’s pop art. When we were originally mood-boarding for this kit, we came across a halftone image of a cityscape. Immediately we knew we wanted to use it in our designs.
